BIO

A two time Olympian for Canada, Jim Steacy has competed in both the hammer throw and shot put for Canada’s National Team since 2005. Jim first became a Canadian National Champion in 2004 for his hammer throw, and in 2008 before attending the Beijing Olympics, Jim would set a national record of 79.13 meters in hammer throw. Aside from competing on 13 national teams for Athletics Canada, Jim is also a five time CIS national weight throw champion and three time shot put champion.

Typical training day:

5am - protein shake
5:20am - 550 calorie meal
6am practice

4:30pm - protein shake
5pm practice
